is an original Hudson Valley resident. With over 15 years in the optical world, he returns to Nyack following four years as the Principal Optician & Lab Manager at MYKITA. Dr. Aurora A. Tussy OD, FAAO

is a 26 year veteran optometrist that graduated from the SUNY College of Optometry in 1995. She is residency trained in Low Vision and Ocular Disease. Dr. Tussy has a diverse background in eye care practice, which includes clinical and didactic teaching, lecturing for continuing education, clinical research, home bound care, hospital and VA based practice, as well as private practice. Born and raised on the upper east side of Manhattan, her and her family have moved to Rockland County, the childhood home of her husband with whom she grew up.

Tiffany P. Fillhart - Apprentice Optician

has worked in a number of creative fields, most notably as wardrobe supervisor for a number of Off-Broadway theatrical productions in NYC. She has also held the position of jewelry production manager and designer for an artisan jewelry store in Pittsburg, PA. Tiffany joined the team in 2019 and has entered into the NY apprenticeship program to become a NYS licensed, ABO Certified Optician.

Dr. Sara Dawson,OD

completed her undergraduate education at SUNY Geneseo in western New York where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then went on to graduate from SUNY College of Optometry where she was a Dean’s List student, member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honors society, and recipient of many scholarships and awards.  Dr. Dawson is dedicated both to her profession and to the community and is a member of the New York State Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She has participated in community vision screenings with the Lion’s Club and Special Olympics, and was a member of an optometric mission team to Mexico. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading on her Kindle, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
